When a fresh inspiration or new idea comes to us—whether from a
dream, a conversation, a moment of reflection—it can easily get
overshadowed by the immediacy of everyday schedules, tasks, and
responsibilities.
In this full-day retreat we take time to
pause, to breathe, to rest and bring attention to the inner landscape of
our lives, to rest our attention below the surface of our daily
plannings and doings. As we acknowledge the winds of distraction,
busyness, and judgment, and begin to rest our habits of doing, we can
redirect and reclaim the warmth of positive attention in a way that
nurtures creative qualities to come to the forefront of consciousness.
The cost for the day is $99.
To
receive the Zoom link to join the retreat, please register through
PayPal by sending the registration fee of $99 to marcyvaughn@msn.com or
by Venmo at Marcia-Vaughn-3
All guided meditation will be recorded and available to participants. |

CANCER AND CAREGIVERS - CONNECTING TO INNER WELL BEING
with GABRIEL ROCCO and ALEJANDRO CHAOUL
|
| | Meditation in Community:
Connecting to Inner Well Being with The 3 Doors
A Cancer and Caregivers partnership program hosted by Jefferson Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center (SKCC)
In the warmth of community, learn The 3 Doors meditation practices of
body, breath, and mind that can be a source of daily support for
individuals with cancer, caregivers, and family members in their journey
through and around a cancer diagnosis. This course was developed in
collaboration with The Jung Center of Houston’s Mind Body Spirit Institute and these practices have been taught and researched at MD Anderson Cancer Center.
Learn how simple and powerful ancient Tibetan meditation practices of
body, breath, and mind can be a source of daily support for living
with, going through treatments for, and recovering from cancer. This
will help you to:
- Calm the overactive, anxious mind and open yourself to a more restful and aware state of being.
- Learn stress management tools, specifically around preparing for treatments and awaiting diagnosis.
- Shift your perspective around physical and emotional pain for a greater sense of wellbeing.
- Connect more deeply to yourself and others.
This program is presented in partnership with Jefferson Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center and The 3 Doors, an international organization dedicated to transforming lives through meditation in community.
Open to individuals with cancer, caregivers, and family members. No prior meditation experience is necessary.
For complete program details and to register, please follow this link:

All participants are eligible for future 3 Doors Cancer and Caregivers community practice sessions.
