Today’s gazette is all about the excitement and anticipation as Euro 2024 heads into the knockout stages! 🌍⚽ The group stage has concluded, and the competition is heating up with thrilling matchups on the horizon. 🤩 Whether you’re a die-hard supporter or a casual fan, the UEFA European Championship never fails to deliver unforgettable moments. 😎😉

The group stage has been nothing short of spectacular, with dramatic finishes, stunning goals, and surprising upsets. 🤩 Top teams have battled it out, and now only the best remain (atleast we hope 😉) The Euro Cup 2024 is being hosted by the friendly nation Germany, so far doing quite well themselves in the Cup. 💪🏻 With three European Championship titles, they are aiming to add a fourth one on the home soil. Germany’s state-of-the-art stadiums have provided the perfect backdrop for the matches with the Allianz Arena in Munich and the Olympiastadion in Berlin!

TECHNICAL NEWS

Appointment of Dr. Roshan Boodhoo as Chief Executive of the FSC

Pursuant to Section 9 (1) (b) of the Financial Services Act 2007, the Board of the Financial Services Commission has, with the concurrence of the Minister of Financial Services and Good Governance, appointed Dr. Roshan Boodhoo as the Chief Executive of the Financial Services Commission, with effect from 26 June 2024.

FILING OF RETURNS/ STATEMENTS AND PAYMENT OF TAX

Note that for Companies whose accounting year ended is in December 2023 and where no tax is payable or a loss is declared and the company is unable to submit the return by the due date, no penalty for late submission of the return will be charged by the Director-General, provided the return is submitted on or before 15 July 2024.

Filing of accounts for the year ended December 2023

Please note that Companies having year end December 2023 are required to submit their accounts (audited/unaudited) by 30 June 2024.

1. Cooking

As you may be aware, some teams cook in the mess on Level 3 and Level 4 for their team gatherings. You are informed that if the cooking is for Directors / clients / ALL staff, you can do on Level 3 BUT please switch on the air curtain (you can find the remote as per below image) and close the mess door before starting the cooking.

For any team gatherings, you are requested to do the cooking on the balcony on Level 4 ONLY which has been arranged for the purpose with more space and more ventilation.

2. Toilets

We put this request often in the gazette but some seem to not take it into consideration. You are reminder, once again, to use the sanitary bins put at your disposal and to flush once you are done.

3. Food order

Any food order will be closed on the eve at 5 p.m. You are kindly requested to do the necessary on the eve.

You are reminded to 'save and edit' your answer once done. This way, you will know if you have order and you can also edit/cancel your order.
