💡Did you know?

Tea was introduced in Mauritius by French settlers in the early 19^th century. They brought tea plants from China and India to the island, laying the foundation for Mauritius to become one the world's renowned tea-producing regions.

Oh and by the way, you can give your loose leaf tea 🍃 a second life by repurposing it creatively. They make excellent compost material, enriching the soil with nutrients and improving its texture ✨. So, don't let those tea leaves go to waste - there's a world of possibilities beyond the teapot!😏

Guideline for Regulatory Sandbox Authorisation

In its pursuit to promote Fintech initiatives in a regulatory environment and in order to protect consumers, the Bank of Mauritius has issued a guideline for regulatory sandbox authorization for financial institution to experiment with fintech, regtech or other innovation driven financial services falling under the supervisory purview of the Bank. FSC communique – Fake documents

The Financial Services Commission, Mauritius (the “FSC”) has become aware of fraudulent correspondences, allegedly having been issued by the FSC and signed by its former Chief Executive Mr Dhanesswurnath Thakoor. The correspondences are purporting to assist the recipients in the recovery of their investments and requiring them to provide their personal details and banking information. The communique has been attached for your reference.

FSC communique - Scam through WhatsApp

It has come to the attention of the Financial Services Commission, Mauritius (“FSC”) that the public in Mauritius is being solicited through a WhatsApp group to invest into a scheme called “Defi Mining”. The modus operandi of this scheme appears similar to a ponzi scheme, promising abnormally higher returns than any legitimate activity, within a short period of time, with a view to lure its investors. The FSC hereby urges the public to exercise caution when responding to such types of solicitation or invitation since there may be underlying scams aimed to defraud the respondents. The FSC wishes to highlight that such schemes are neither licensed nor regulated by the FSC. The communique has been attached.

Team, we've noticed that some of you forget to turn off the lights and A/C on Level 2 meeting rooms. It's important to be conscious of saving energy. So, please don't forget next time!🙏

We've also noticed that on Level 4, some of you forget to turn off the lights after using the toilets. Please do so once you're done.

Team, a reminder to please clean after yourselves. For some reasons, someone left stones in the sink. Let's not forget that our Cleaning Ladies are not here to clean up your messes. Please be respectful!🙄

Please ensure not to leave any residue of glue tacks on the boards. Let's keep the area clean for everyone to use.
Additionally, please note that, while you may use The Good Lounge for team gatherings, this is not a place for you to have breakfast or lunch.
You are all requested not to move around the benches, but if you do so, kindly ensure they're back to how they were originally.
We noticed some food crumbs left behind, so kindly ensure to clean after yourselves.
Close the windows after use.
Do not use the flower pots as bin.
Do not stick anything on the mirror.

Regular checks will be done to ensure that the above have been respected.

FPL winners

Our in-house Fantasy Premier League (FPL) has been a great success, with our colleagues showcasing their football expertise week after week.🎉

For those unfamiliar, FPL is a virtual game where participants assemble a squad of real-life players and earn points based on their performances in the weekly Premier League matches.

We have had some great players and great scores.
