Happiness means different things to each and every one of us. It can be from the most mundane thing like taking a stroll in your garden to the most incredible thing: eating cake 🍰😜or accomplishing an educational milestone . That said, even a good morning from our colleagues can make our day 🙋🏻‍♀️🙋🏻‍♂️

International Happiness Day goes a step beyond in reminding us and encouraging us to set goals and aspirations, foster a better quality of life and promote sustainable development... it's a good thing that the weekend is starting tomorrow: it can get your mind rolling as to how you'd picture a happier life for yourself 😉

The International Financial Services Centre Authority MoU with the Financial Services Commission

The International Financial Services Centre Authority and the Financial Services Commission, Mauritius (FSC) have entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to formalise institutional cooperation between the two institutions for mutual benefit.

The objective of the MoU is to facilitate the sharing of knowledge and best practices on the development, regulation and supervision of the financial markets of the respective jurisdictions as well as to promote and secure the fitness and propriety of licensed or registered persons and to promote high standards and integrity in conduct of business. FSC issues Consultation Paper on the proposed Regulatory Framework for Peer to Peer (P2P) Insurance

In line with its strategy to sustain the growth of the fintech ecosystem in Mauritius, the FSC has issued a Consultation Paper in view of establishing a comprehensive regulatory framework for P2P Insurance. P2P Insurance is a type of risk sharing model which enables persons to form communities of peers with common interests in order to protect themselves against losses. FSC issues draft Guidance Notes on Whistleblowing for public consultation

The FSC is issuing a draft of the Guidance Notes on Whistleblowing for public consultation in line with its transparent rule-making process. The purpose of the Guidance Notes is to specify the minimum standards which the FSC would expect its licensees to implement in their Whistleblowing Policy for the protection of whistleblowers, building on and formalising the good practices already existing in parts of the financial services industry.

The Whistleblowing Policy to be adopted by licensees will vary based on the size and nature of the entity taking into consideration the fundamentals set out by the FSC in the Guidance Notes. The draft Guidance Notes can be accessed here👇

A Level 4 cleaning is planned on Saturday 23^rd March 2024 as from 8:30 a.m.

On the menu: deep vacuum, carpet shampoo, and cleaning of tiled floor, desks, PC screens, telephone, windows, blinds, amongst others. Consequently, please:

Tidy and clear up your desk, storing your belongings (pen, diary, laptop, etc...) in your drawer;
Remove all documents and boxes on, underneath and around your desk.
