Subject: 🤾‍♂️Paralympic Games 2024🏅: A celebration of resilience & ability!

Helloooooo thereeee People!

The 2024 Paralympic Games will kick off this Wednesday 28th August. At 10:00 PM, Place de la Concorde and the Champs-Elysées will be the stage for this groundbreaking celebration in the heart of Paris. The ceremony will open with a popular parade on the iconic Champs-Elysées, involving up to 184 delegations ⭐ from around the world. Through these Games and their ambitious Opening Ceremony at the heart of the city, Paris 2024 wants to leave a lasting and necessary legacy by changing the way disabilities are viewed and, looking beyond the Games, helping to build a more inclusive society and public space. More than a sporting event, the Paralympics are a powerful display of resilience, determination, and human spirit! 🤩

🤾‍♀️Anaïs Angeline (team captain), Noemi Alphonse (flag bearer), Roberto Michel, Yovanni Philippe, Brandy Perrine and Eddy Capdor headed to Paris last Wednesday for the Paralympic Games. Watch out for the performance of Noemi Alphonse and Anaïs Angeline who stood on the podium at the last 🥇World Championships.

Let’s show our support to these six Mauritian athletes. The values they embody show us that disability is not an obstacle! 💪

HAPPENINGS

Fire Warden training and Fire Drill exercise equip Imperium team for emergencies

Two important fire safety initiatives were recently conducted. First, the Fire Warden training in June where selected staff members completed comprehensive training. This programme equipped our wardens with crucial skills in emergency evacuation procedures, fire extinguisher operation, communication during crises, and so on. Our Fire Wardens are prepared to guide colleagues to safety in the event of an emergency.

Building on June's training, a fire drill exercise was held in July. The overall session provided valuable insights into our emergency preparedness.

Check out the Excel file attached to see the list of Fire Wardens for each level!

Birthdays...and a Farewell

Team Amethyst came together to celebrate the birthdays of Kevissen, Nuzhah, and Karene. The three of them were surrounded by warm wishes and a lot of love, making their special day even brighter. As they celebrated these happy occasions, the team also had to say goodbye to Karene. It was an emotional moment as the team members reflected on the wonderful times they shared with her. Good luck Karene!

Hiking at Le Pouce Mountain

The CASS Team took on the challenge of hiking up 🏞️Le Pouce Mountain, and what a journey it was! Reaching the top was an achievement worth celebrating, including Krishnan's birthday. The view was breathtaking, but the real challenge came when Krishnan tried to blow out his birthday candle with all the wind at the summit.

Happy Birthday, Krishnan! 🎂
