World Earth Day was celebrated earlier this week 🌍🌎🌏

The aim of the EARTHDAY.ORG is to put an end to plastic for the health of human aiming at a reduction of 60% in the production of all plastics by 2040📉 The theme 'Planet vs Plastic' calls for a massive reduction in plastic production. People are encouraged to phase out all single use plastics and adopt some re-usable bags. 😎

Let's act NOW and create a healthier and sustainable environment for our future generations!

FSC hosts the IMF-IOSCO Training Workshop on Cyber Resilience

The Financial Services Commission (FSC) hosted the International Monetary Fund-International Organization of Securities Commissions (IMF-IOSCO) Training Workshop on Cyber Resilience.

The Training Workshop jointly organised by the IMF-IOSCO aimed at providing securities regulators expertise to mitigate exposure to cyber risks in financial markets by enhancing their cyber resilience and incident response capabilities. Please refer to the attached communique.

FATF Ministers commit to stepping up efforts to fight money laundering, terrorist and proliferation financing

The Ministers of the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) reaffirmed their unwavering commitment to combat financial crime, and fully support the FATF as the global standard-setter for preventing and combatting money laundering, terrorist financing and the financing of the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction (AML/CFT/CPF). Filing of Financial Summary (Excel version) on FSCOne platform for Authorised Companies

Please note that the EXCEL file version of the Financial Summary of Authorised Companies will henceforth be required to be submitted on the FSC One Platform in addition to the filing of the signed pdf file. Licensees are kindly requested to use the new version of the excel template (for both the Excel and PDF submissions) downloadable on the platform under Helpdesk –>Help –>Financial Summary Template. Check out the attached template for your reference.

General Cleaning | Level 3

A Level 3 cleaning is planned on Saturday 27^{th April 2024} as from 8:30 a.m.

On the menu: deep vacuum, carpet shampoo, and cleaning of tiled floor, desks, PC screens, telephone, windows, blinds, amongst others. Consequently, please:

Tidy and clear up your desk, storing your belongings (pen, diary, laptop, etc...) in your drawer;
Remove all documents and boxes on, underneath and around your desk.

Please note that the cleaning team will not be able to perform the cleaning appropriately if your working space is untidy.

Discussion on role of women in the new era of the Mauritius IFC | ITL

Organised by the Ministry of Financial Services and Good Governance, a workshop was held at Royal Green yesterday to unveil the new role of women in the financial services sector.

Francoise participated in a panel discussion deep diving in the subject matter alongside industry experts. Francoise highlighted the key role of a robust support system (family and her husband) and a great company with strong beliefs in the capabilities of women in driving her empowerment as a leader and helping her climb the ladder throughout the years. She also emphasised on the need to drive our own growth through leadership training and programmes.

Women in Finance & Investment Charter

Launched by the Association of Women in Investment and Finance of Mauritius on 2 February 2023, this Charter aims to raise awareness and promote positive action to achieve gender parity at all levels and to nurture an inclusive culture for sustained change.

Kudos to Andersen for signing the Charter and reinforcing their pledge in promoting gender balance 👏
