Bank of Mauritius

The Bank of Mauritius has published its fifty-sixth Annual Report covering the Financial Year 2022-2023 which can be accessed here.

FATF Consolidated Assessment Ratings as at 7 May 2024

Through its nine FATF-Style Regional Bodies (FSRBs), the FATF brings together a global network of 205 jurisdictions that have each committed at the highest political level, to implementing the FATF Recommendations. FATF and FSRBs conduct peer reviews on an ongoing basis to assess how effectively their respective members' AML/CFT measures work in practice, and how well they have implemented the technical requirements of the FATF Recommendations.

ANNOUNCEMENTS

Updated Process for Director's Special Approval via DocuSign

As part of ITL's standard operating procedures, it's crucial to ensure Compliance's acknowledgment of any special approval through their signature on the compliance checklists. However, it has come to their attention that this step has been overlooked by some consultants.

In light of this, management has decided that all special approvals will be conducted through DocuSign. This means that both the Director and Compliance will need to digitally sign the checklist via DocuSign. The DocuSign policy is available on LaserFiche at: ITL-Live\Common Files\Manuals & Templates\Mauritius\Other Operational Procedures\DocuSign

1. Bin

We have already mentioned it last time, but it seems that some did not consider our notice! You are reminded that the bins are waste paper baskets. DO NOT THROW ANY LIQUID in the bins.

2. Toilet

Ladies, you are reminded to throw inside the sanitary bins at your disposal in the toilets and not on the top.

Precautions

As you may all know, there is a virus - Leptospirosis - doing a lot of harm around. Please do take your precautions and be careful. Attached a communique from the Ministry of Health. Check below the symptoms as well.

Empowered Women Empower

Just like the first session, our second session was also a success! It was nice to see everyone listening attentively to the one and only Joe 😜

Treasure Hunt

For those who follow the gazette each week will know that Amiirah and Lovee won the quiz to participate in the treasure hunt organised by MauBank. They had the chance to bring along a colleague with them for more fun, so the team was: Amiirah, Lovee, Kavina, Mayur and Mushirah. Yes Yes, we thought same as you! What a nice them there. 😉😜

We heard that it was realllllyyyyy tiring but they did spend a good time and their efforts have not been in vain. They made it to the podium by being in the third position. 🥉Congratsssssss!
