Helloooooo thereeee People!

India seems to savour the ongoing global attention it's been garnering since the beginning of the year. Post all the fanfare for the prestigious inauguration of the Ayodhya Ram Mandir on Monday, India is celebrating today its 75th Republic Day anniversary 🥳

To mark the day, French President Emmanuel Macron is presently in India as Guest of Honour for the celebrations. A key highlight of this visit is Macron's commitment to welcome 30,000 Indian students in France in 2030 whilst facilitating their visa procedures.

Looks like Indian students will now be trilingual...if not multilingual 😄 But waiiitttt.... does that mean that maybe Mauritians are even more likely to lose our leverage of being bilingual? 🤔 Food for thought People....

SPORTS CORNER

Bowling tournament

The Mauritius Bowling Federation is organizing its first tournament for the year 2024 and it will be a step ladder tournament to be held on 28^th January 2024 at Gravity Max as from 11am.

Our bowlers will participate in the following categories:

• Category men <41 years: Mayur

• Category men >50 years: Kong and James

• Category women: Chayashna and Ishika

Each champion of the respective category will compete for a final battle to nominate the overall winner.
