The Anti Money Laundering and Combatting the financing of Terrorism and Proliferation (Miscellaneous Provision) Bill

The Anti Money laundering and Combatting the financing of Terrorism and Proliferation (Miscellaneous Provision) Bill has been gazetted as per attached. The objective of the Bill is to amend various enactments with a view to meeting international standards of the Financial Action Task Force on anti-money laundering and combatting the financing of terrorism and proliferation.

FATF Report: Horizontal review of Gatekeeper's Technical Compliance Related Corruption

In July 2024, the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) developed a report on ‘Horizontal Review of Gatekeepers’ Technical Compliance Related to Corruption’ following the FATF’s Report on the State of Effectiveness and Compliance with the FATF Standards1, published in April 2022, which reported that gatekeepers like lawyers, accountants, trust and company service providers, and real estate agents in overall have a poorer understanding of their risks than financial institutions and regularly fail to mitigate them, making them vulnerable to exploitation. These gatekeeps play a crucial role in mitigating the risk of corruption and money laundering. The objective of this Horizontal review of FATF members’ levels of compliance is to drive compliance with the FATF Standards and develop an up-to-date global assessment of the FATF membership’s compliance with requirements applied to gatekeepers. The Bake🍰 & Sale was a true success thanks to everyone who made the effort to bake (or buy) cakes 🎂, savouries 🍥 and delicious drinks for that special fundraising activity organised by the Activity Committee. Individual Scratch Bowling Tournament @ Gravity Max


In an exhilarating display of bowling prowess, the ITLians Bowling Club made their mark at the recent scratch tournament held at Gravity Max on Monday, July 22, 2024.

 

Representing the club in the Elite Division, Kong delivered a stellar performance, securing a commendable fourth-place finish. His exceptional skills were evident as he achieved the highest game score of the tournament with an impressive 211.

 

Meanwhile, Ishika represented the ITLians Bowling Club in the Women's Division, displaying formidable determination and skill on the lanes.

 

The tournament, known for its competitive spirit and high stakes, brought together top bowlers from the region, each vying for victory and recognition. The ITLians Bowling Club’s participation not only highlighted their commitment to the sport but also solidified their presence among the bowling elite.

 

Congratulations to Kong and Ishika for their performances, reflecting the dedication and talent within the ITLians Bowling Club.🙌
