Tropical cyclone ‘Belal’ approaching Mauritius

We wish to inform you that Mauritius is on notice for an intense tropical cyclone, ‘Belal’, which is expected to influence the Island’s weather conditions this weekend and early next week.


In the event of a Cyclone Class 3 or 4 Warning being announced by the Mauritius Meteorological Services, please note the following:

  1. Our office and all banks in Mauritius will be closed. We will resume normal business operations once the Class 3 warning is downgraded or all warnings are removed.

  2. In case of damage to telecommunications facilities and/or any power cuts, our access to emails and consequently, our usual service standards may be impacted.
