Financial Services Commission Visit

The FSC will conduct an onsite inspection at our office as from Tuesday 18 July 2023 for Intercontinental Trust Limited and Intercontinental Fund Services Limited. The main objective of the onsite inspection is to ascertain that both licensees are compliant with the regulatory and supervisory framework by:

• assessing the market conduct of licensees for fairness and transparency;

• checking adherence of licensees to AML/CFT legislation;

• ensuring soundness of corporate governance of licensees;

• evaluating risk management processes established by licensees;

• evaluating the internal control procedures established by licensees; and

• maintaining the sound repute of the Mauritius jurisdiction.

Admin Communique | General Cleaning Level 4

A Level 4 cleaning is planned on Saturday 15 July 2023 as from 8:30 a.m.

On the menu: deep vacuum, carpet shampoo and cleaning of tiled floor, desks, PC screens, telephones, windows, blinds, amongst others. Consequently, please:

tidy and clear up your desk, storing your belongings (pen, diary, laptop etc) in your drawers;
remove all documents and boxes underneath and around your desk.

Perigeum Capital's Seminar

Perigeum Capital hosted their maiden seminar yesterday at the Hennessy Park Hotel around the theme Shareholder Value Creation in Mauritian Capital Markets.

They hosted industry experts, Mr. Piet Viljoen, Executive Director at RECM, Mr. Sunil Benimadhu, Chief Executive of SEM, Dr. Jyoti Jeetun, Group CEO of Mont Choisy Group and Mrs. Candyce Taylor, Manager - Investment at MUA for an insightful panel discussion.

Our very own ESG expert, Harsheenee, made an exclusive presentation to outline the impact of the adoption of ESG principles on shareholder value creation.
