Subject: 🐻 Winnie The Pooh Day: What a Pooh-fect Day! ✨

Helloooooo thereeee People!

🍯 Oh, bother! (as our beloved bear would say) Welcome to this special edition of our newsletter, where we’re celebrating the wonderful world of Winnie the Pooh. This Saturday 18th January, we're celebrating Winnie the Pooh Day! Grab your favourite honey pot and settle in for a delightful journey through the Hundred Acre Wood, where Pooh, Piglet, Tigger, Eeyore, Owl, Kanga, little Roo, and Rabbit all share their adventures. ✨

This charming tale began in the cosy corners of A.A. Milne’s imagination, inspired by his son Christopher Robin’s stuffed toys. 🤩Little did he know that a simple bedtime story would blossom into a worldwide phenomenon that continues to warm hearts nearly a century later.

Just like Pooh and his friends, our workplace thrives ⚡on friendship, collaboration, and the occasional sweet treat in the break room (though perhaps with less getting stuck in doorways like Pooh at Rabbit’s house!). Whether we’re bouncing around with Tigger’s enthusiasm, planning carefully like Rabbit, or offering wisdom like Owl, we each bring something special to our team. 🐻

HAPPENINGS

🎉Bibi's surprise birthday celebrations! ✨

Mariam (also known as Bibi) had a surprise birthday at the office today. The Imperium crew came together to make her day special, and true to her fun-loving spirit, she had us all in stitches with her infectious laughter.

If you heard random bursts of laughter from the Lounge, that was just Bibi being her usual entertaining self! We're lucky to have her energetic and playful personality brightening up our office.

Happy Birthday, Bibi! Here's to more of your crazy, fun moments! 🎂

Fun Facts from the Hundred Acre Wood 🌳

🐻 National Winnie the Pooh Day commemorates author A. A. Milne's birthday on January 18th 1882.

📚The real Christopher Robin's toys can still be visited today at the New York Public Library - except for Roo, who was sadly lost in an apple orchard in the 1930s! 🦘

🐻 Winnie was named after a real black bear at London Zoo called Winnie, who in turn was named after the Canadian city of Winnipeg

🎨 The original Pooh illustrations by E.H. Shepard were based on his son's own teddy bear, Growler, not Christopher Robin's bear

🍯 Pooh's favourite food, honey, is mentioned 54 times in the original book series!

🐷 Piglet's character was inspired by a long-forgotten toy that was a Christmas gift to Christopher Robin

🌳 The real-life Hundred Acre Wood is actually called Ashdown Forest, located in East Sussex, England

🏬 Christopher Robin's original Pooh bear was actually purchased from Harrods department store in London

🦫 Gopher, who appears in Disney adaptations, was never in the original books - he was added by Disney to make the stories more "American"

Just as Piglet finds courage in friendship and Eeyore finds joy in simple gestures, remember, sometimes the smallest things take up the most room in your heart - whether that's a kind word to a colleague or sharing your last biscuit at tea time. Until next time, keep your honey pots full and your spirits high!
