Mauritius Kestrel's Amazing Comeback
The greatest recovery by a bird of prey species is the Mauritius kestrel (Falco punctatus), aka CrΓ©cerelle de Maurice, endemic to Mauritius. π΄ The species was almost wiped out of existence by the late 20th century. In 1974, there were just four known kestrels left in the wild (only one of which was a breeding female) and two in captivity. π Its population is estimated at between 350 and 500, making it a record in terms of conservation ! π

The most times to roll a football (soccer ball) around the head in 30 seconds is 14 and was achieved by Tarun Kumar Cheddy (Mauritius) π, in SeiziΓ¨me Mille, Forest-side, Mauritius, on 12 March 2021. Tarun chose the date for his attempt to celebrate Mauritian independence day as well as his mother's birthday. π Tarun has so far earned seven record titles! π

Mauritius is title holder for the Largest scrambled eggs ever cooked. The very large and very scrambled egg weighted 2,466 kg! π₯ After months of preparation the record was broken at Bagatelle Mall on 27th October 2018 to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the country's largest egg production and distribution company. π―
