Financial Services Commission guidelines for the determination of completeness of an application for a licence


Please refer to the attached guidelines published by the Financial Services Commission (FSC) to provide guidance on how the FSC determines the completeness of an application for a licence (includes an authorisation, registration or approval where relevant), what constitutes a complete application and the process for granting an application.


FATF Consolidated Assessment Ratings as at December 2024


FATF and FSRBs conduct peer reviews on an ongoing basis to assess how effectively their respective members' AML/CFT measures work in practice, and how well they have implemented the technical requirements of the FATF Recommendations. SEMX Launch: A historic milestone for high-growth companies


In December, the Stock Exchange of Mauritius (SEM) marked a historic milestone with the launch of SEMX, an innovative market segment dedicated to high-growth companies. Three promising firms - Africa Eats Ltd, Elite Meat Processors Ltd and Ziweto Holdings Limited - were simultaneously listed on this new platform.

This initiative results from a collaboration between SEM, two of our Business Units - Perigeum Capital and OneLink - as well as Rogers Capital. This synergy opens new horizons for African growth companies seeking capital market access. 📈

use old jars as pen holders 🖊️, stick post-its on your monitor (not too many! 📝), or try the "two-minute rule" ⏰ - if something takes less than two minutes, do it right away.


For resolutions that actually stick, start small. 🌱 Instead of "I'll never be late again," try "I'll set my alarm 10 minutes earlier." Rather than "I'll be super organised," start with "I'll clear my desk every Friday afternoon." 🧹


Some of our team's favorite hacks? Using a desk calendar as a mouse pad 🗓️, keeping a reusable water bottle in sight (staying hydrated is important! 💧), and the classic "inbox zero Wednesdays" 📧 - where you try to clear your email inbox by mid-week. Simple changes, big difference! 💫
