Celebrating National Day at Imperium Group!

The Imperium family gathered on the 11th in the Level 2 lounge to celebrate Mauritian National Day in style! Everyone enjoyed delicious napolitaines decorated in the vibrant colours of the Mauritian flag. It was a brilliant way to honour the cultural heritage of Mauritius with these traditional sweet treats while bringing our team together for this special occasion! 🎉 And not to forget the tradition: those who have less than 1 year of service had to sing "Motherland" in front of everyone! 🎤

Did you know?

The nation’s flag unfurls its story through four meaningful bands of colour.

Red represents the struggle for freedom and independence.

Blue mirrors the endless Indian Ocean that surrounds the island.

Yellow reflects the new light of independence and the bright sunshine of the tropical island.

Green embodies the lush vegetation and agriculture that sustains the country, showcasing its fertile landscape and natural beauty throughout the seasons.

OneLink Team's patriotic festivities🎉

The OneLink team gathered this week to honour our beautiful island nation's heritage and progress while looking forward to the endless possibilities ahead for our country.

The team took a moment to reflect on what makes our nation special and how we can contribute to its bright future. ❤️

CASS - A celebration of Women’s Day...with a twist!

The boys of CASS took their first International Women's Day mission very seriously! From a surprise breakfast to personalised cards and hand-selected and carefully prepped flowers, their week-long preparations were unintentionally obvious, but undeniably thoughtful!

With the need for elaborate cover-up stories finally over, the boys proudly sported their pink badges (courtesy of our secret agent - turns out her DIY skills are just as great as her espionage skills - with a little assist from an agent-to-be!)

CASS - Double the celebration, double the fun!✨

Independence Day came with snacks, but the real surprise was the International Women's Day celebrations, Part Two - where everyone got gifts! Turns out, equality tastes just as sweet.🍬

FAQ: Maths Myths Debunked

When will I ever use maths in real life ?

Every time you check the time, follow a recipe, or decide if you can afford that cheeky takeaway, you're using maths! From calculating journey times to understanding interest rates on your mortgage, maths is quietly working behind the scenes of your daily decisions.

Is being 'good at maths' just something you're born with ?

Absolutely not! While some people might pick up concepts more quickly, mathematical thinking is a skill that can be developed with practice. Think of it like building muscle - the more you exercise it, the stronger it gets!

Why is pi so important ?

Pi (π) is the ratio of a circle's circumference to its diameter - approximately 3.14159... It's a constant that appears in countless mathematical formulas across various fields, from engineering to physics. Plus, it gives us an excuse to eat actual pie on March 14th, which is clearly its most important contribution. 🥧

Quiz: Challenge Your Colleagues! 🧩

The Missing Pound Puzzle:

Three colleagues went out for lunch and the bill came to £30. They each contributed £10. The restaurant later realised there was a promotion on and the bill should have been £25. The server gave £5 to a runner to return to the colleagues. The runner, being a bit dishonest, pocketed £2 and gave each colleague £1 back. So each colleague ended up paying £9, totalling £27. Add the £2 the runner kept, and that's £29. Where did the missing pound go? 🤔

Office Riddle:

At our company, there are 5 floors in the building. The top floor has 1/4 of the total number of employees. The second from the top has 1/5 of the total. The middle floor has 1/6 of the total. The second from the bottom has 1/7 of the total. The bottom floor has the remaining 108 employees. How many employees are there in total?

Quick Mental Maths Challenge:

Set a timer for 60 seconds and see how many of these you can solve:

18 × 12 = ?

√144 = ?

7² + 8² = ?

10³ ÷ 10² = ?

The average of 15, 25, and 35 is?
