The scent of Andalusia

Our garden is full of Andalusian character. Palm trees and cacti along with the traditional and very colourful bougainvilleas. Not to mention the many herbs that not only smell nice but also make their way into our pots and pans. In the evenings, as soon as the sun sets, the fragrance of the Galanes de Noche wafts into your nose. The plants are strategically placed in a manner that their scent permeates the entirety of Cortijo. For this is the smell of Andalusia.

Mojácar, the beach paradise

Mojácar Playa offers no less than 14 km of beach! The most beautiful stretch of beach in Mojácar Playa is undoubtedly from Playa de las Ventanicas all the way to Playa del Venta del Bancal.

The sand is very fine, and the chiringuitos have comfortable beach loungers, parasols, and a drink for the lazy ones. For those who are looking for a real Robinson Crusoe feeling, however, we recommend a rather hidden beach, which we will only reveal to our guests on-site. After all, we also need a place to escape and hide 😀

What the hack is a "chiringuito"?

You will often come across the word chiringuito in our writing, yet we often forget that hardly anyone knows what it stands for. I'll try to briefly sum it up: A chiringuito is pure Spanish lifestyle, a national treasure. From a simple wooden shack serving tapas to culinary perfection... The chiringuito is located right on the beach. You can virtually walk in barefoot for a meal. Most chiringuitos serve the traditional Spanish dish, the Paella. In summer, you definitely have to make a reservation, for this is especially popular with Spaniards. You snooze, you lose!

For those long hot summer nights

At last Mojácar has a truly awesome and, above all, utterly authentic Tablao de Flamenco. The shows take place several times a week in the oldest discotheque in Mojácar, El Pimiento. The best dancers, guitar players and singers in the region perform in changing line-ups. The standard is high, the location is fab and there's a bar with plenty of drinks to enojy right next to the "dance floor". An unforgettable evening is guaranteed, and we will gladly take care of the reservations. This also guarantees the best seat.

If there's one thing that makes the heart of Yvonne's mother, Marlene, skip a beat, it's Persil, Ariel, Captur, Dash and Dixan. She adores the washing machines - probably even a little more than her family ;-) Since the rest of the clan are masters in making a mess, there is always enough to top up the laundry basket. Our guests also help to increase the laundry volume. In early 2022, Marlene was given assistance with some very professional Miele equipment. These machines work much faster and allow her to process even more laundry per day than ever before. When Mom's Happy, Everyone's Happy!
