So how does this work?

I am sure most of you will be aware of Secrets of Embroidery and SWAK embroidery that has been around for many years and capitalises on the selling of embroidery artists' designs by charging a percentage commission per sale. So in short, they provide the traffic that leads to sales in return for a commission.

What we aim to do is exactly the same but with two major differences. The designs uploaded will only be designs created with Embird software and the second major difference is that you will have an opportunity to get 100% of the profit when your designs sell.

How can you offer a 100% of the sales price?

So this does not make any sense right? We will do all that hard work sending traffic, generating sales for you, make an effort to pay out all designers etc. and get absolutely nothing in return?

No, not exactly. What we are interested in at the moment is traffic and we would also like to showcase the beautiful designs our Embird customers create with our Embird embroidery software.

So what we have in mind is to allow embroidery artists to sell on our e-commerce site for free in exchange for a short TikTok video of how the design was created and grant us permission to upload the video to our TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest etc. The idea is to then have a link in the video description that will send traffic to your design listed on our e-commerce store, which will result in sales. For each design you would like to list for free, we repeat the process.

We do recognise that not everyone would want to do video creation in order to list, so in that case there are several other options to consider e.g. we are thinking of a 70/30 split where we will claim 30% commission per sale and pay out the remaining 70% to the embroidery artist. There may be other possibilities as well, e.g. if you contribute to our free designs section then we may perhaps also consider you to list for free.

Please note that at this stage we are just testing the waters to see how much interest there is in a proposition like this and therefore we are not communicating exact details here as yet in exactly how this will work. The finer details (if there is enough interest) will be communicated at a later stage.

Please note that the image above of the Embird e-commerce store is indeed an image of the real Embird e-commerce store we started to build (not live yet obviously), but please ignore the menu bar tab items, as for now those are just place holders (ideas of what we may include), but certainly nothing is set in stone as yet.
