Connie is a scientist, emergency room physician, and researcher. For the last two years, at the request of David Albert, she served as our first Board Vice-Chair. She is only our second Board Chair and the first woman to lead our organization. Connie currently heads the Technology and Evaluation (formerly Projects), and Executive committees. She has been a supporter of the organization for more than six years and is dedicated to making the work we do the best it can be. David Albert will remain on the Board while taking on new responsibilities. We thank him for his determined leadership of the Board and we will be hosting a future Chat about his time as co-founder and Board Chairman.

You can hear from our new Board Chair (and the past one) at our Zoom event this Friday. That's right, this Friday, March 26. That's our second big announcement. We had originally planned our World Water Day celebration for this Saturday but have rescheduled it to this Friday so we can all meet during our regular monthly Chat day and time. As the pandemic was accelerating a year ago, we started hosting Chats to stay connected to our friends, to let them know their work was continuing, and to create a community that was uplifting and optimistic in the middle of a world that seemed to be spinning beyond the control of most. This Friday is the anniversary, almost to the day, of our first Chat. The world is looking a little better now for many, but for some, the pandemic is just one in a series of daily challenges they face.
