We are excited to introduce Ezra, our new Assistant Program Manager based out of our Kakamega Build Center in Kambiri, Kenya. Most recently, Ezra worked with Transforming Communities for Social Change, our Matsakha-based partner who has helped facilitate the Matsakha Build.

In that role, he helped build the Good Hygiene program that has seen the production and sale of over 4,000 liters of soap in the local community. Using his chemical engineering background he created the soap formula, then trained members of Matsakha Development Group in soap-making, and even helped craft the marketing plan.

Ezra also worked in peace-making for several years, collaborating with pastoralist communities and the American Friends Service Committee (AFSC) to facilitate cross-border dialogues and develop shared security processes. The expertise he developed in these roles should only strengthen our community engagement and relationship building.
