Subject: How far do you have to walk for water every day?

We live in a world where we still have to ask people that question. Let's Chat about a fast way to water security.

Hello Friend,

Did you know that women in Sub-Saharan Africa spend 16 million hours every day collecting water? Every. Day. And that they are frequently joined by their children. Even when water is close to their dwelling, it may be polluted, or they may have to wait in lines to retrieve it, or there may not be enough for all their needs. How can someone create a better future for themselves if they don’t have access to the most fundamental of all resources? It’s a big problem that will probably require many small solutions. Our solution is a Rainwater Catchment Tank. The technology can scale easily, requires mostly local resources for construction, can use one of our other technologies as part of their construction (more on that below), and can fit next to a house or a village or anywhere there is a roof. We like roofs.

chat about multipurpose soap

Next Friday, February 26th at noon (Pacific Standard Time) Chat with us about Rainwater Catchment Tanks and see how they are creating water security and resilience. And as a special bonus, we'll get to see how the special new curved Interlocking Stabilized Soil Bricks we are making in Kambiri can make for a better tank.

Soap is something we usually take for granted. Until we don’t have it. And schools in Matsakha Sub-location, Kenya, haven't had much of it. In the middle of the Covid-19 pandemic. We are now working with the Matsakha Development Group, local NGO TCSC, and two teams, one for soap production and one for soap and hygiene information and marketing, to finalize this Multipurpose Soap effort using our new Sustainability Plan, provide training, start production, and get soap to schools and the wider underserved community as quickly as possible.
