A Friendly Water for the World Chat about sustainability
friendly water for the world header

Hi Friend,

What do you think about when you hear the word sustainability?

Perhaps, the environment? The Green New Deal? Wind farms and solar panels? Reusable grocery bags? A better future?

We think about those things too. But we've also been thinking a lot about how to make our work sustainable. How do we provide water security and clean water solutions that last, that are fixed when they break, are monitored for effectiveness, are adopted by the community, and expand to meet growing demand?

It starts by making every technology and training and optimizing action designed for sustainability. But what do sustainable Rainwater Catchment Tanks look like? How do you engage communities in sustainable long-term partnerships? And why do so many technologies and solutions on a continent like Africa, which receives billions in aid each year, become unsustainable and fail?

We don't have all the answers. But, we believe we have an obligation to you and to all of our partners to ask the questions, to empower our entire community in helping to answer them, and by doing so, to create sustainable health, social, and economic benefits that last for generations.
