Priorities this year include: Enhancing Food Security by building 40 new permagardens. Increasing Water Security by building 40 Rainwater Catchment Tanks at schools and clinics (that's another one-million liters of storage- for the third year in a row!) Continuing to keep all jobs local and within the community we serve. Last year over $45,000 in wages were paid to local masons, soap-makers, laborers, administrative workers and more. This year we want to increase that number to $55,000. Improving the health of communities by expanding the sale of high-quality, multi-purpose soap. Promoting the use of Clean Water by designing and producing a water filter in-house. Continuing to expand ties with County and National government officials. Offering the opportunity for Improved Sanitation by evaluating our desiccating toilet prototype for performance and desirability. Implementing the design and sale of straight Interlocking Stabilized Soil Blocks (ISSBs) for use in building construction. Registering Friendly Water for the World as a Kenyan CBO.
