Subject: There's Still Time to Share Your Input With Us

Hi Friend,

Nearly 300 people have responded so far to the
survey
we sent out earlier this month, asking for your feedback
on our work.

If you are one of those people, thank you so much! We
received many helpful comments, encouragement and
suggestions about how we can improve our work and
reach more people with the truth about the risks and
injustices of abortion and the epidemic of unwanted,
coerced and forced abortions.

Many people commented on how helpful our research has
been to them and mentioned which resources were most
useful to them. Our research papers and books and our
downloadable free materials from
TheUnchoice.com
(especially the
fact sheets) all received high marks.

Suggestions for improvement ranged from updating and
improving our web site (an important project for the near
future) to ways that we can make the vast amount of
information we've gathered more accessible and easy to
use. We will be looking at all of the comments sent (not just
filing them away somewhere) in order to see how we can best
respond to the needs of our supporters and help them in their
own work.

During these difficult and uncertain times, it was also very
heartening to hear from many people who told us how helpful
our work has been to them, and encouraged us to keep going.
Some of the most meaningful comments came from some of
those most effected by the issues we address: the mothers
and fathers of children lost to abortion, including women and
men who experienced unwanted, coerced or forced abortions.

Here are just a few samples of those comments:

“I can only say thank you. You are my best friends; you have
saved my life. You have helped my three children to gradually
get their mum back. I felt completely lost and I didn't want to
live anymore. But you are just great. You gave me the information
I needed. ... Thank you for making me feel that my tears and
my desperation are just the consequences of this experience
and the only thing I wanted was to keep my precious baby.”

[From a woman who had an abortion after rape.]
“I believe you
helped me to see I was not alone and helped to understand
how everyone colluded and hurt me. Many women are being
hurt by other women and men. … I was young, alone, scared,
etc. and surrounded by people who did not care for me or the
baby. … I accepted your help and loving information and today
I am free in the most defining way. … Thank you! I have not felt
this alive and free since the abortion 30 years ago.”

"The Elliot Institute has been on the cutting edge of the post-
abortion issue. I can remember reading one of their books and
thinking, 'these people are the only ones who know what I am
feeling.' When no one else was speaking of the pain of abortion,
they were bringing attention to our wounds and helping us to see
we were not crazy or alone. Their research is invaluable and
they continue to be the number one source for information."
