We are just a few weeks away from Coerced Abortion Awareness Week on April 3-10.

We hope you, your ministry, church or faith community are planning to be a part of Project Candlelight. This important project will raise awareness that most abortions are unwanted or coerced, plus other abortion-related abuses, risks, harm and heartbreak. We are offering many free educational, outreach and healing materials to motivate churches and faith communities to speak up, speak out and offer real help and support to those still at risk or struggling with these issues.

Our Publicity Kit materials include a sample press release, bulletin ads, a guide to writing op-ed pieces and other materials to help you let people in your church and community know what you will be doing.

It's not too late to be a part of this effort, either during the month of April or at anytime throughout the year. (April is also Abortion Recovery Awareness Month, a good time to focus on providing support to those who might be facing an unwanted or coerced abortion and helping women, men and families who are affected by abortion.) If you haven't already joined the Church Awareness Project, sign up here to be a part it.

While others curse or grow accustomed to the darkness, you can light one candle. Your outreach will help illuminate, enlighten and motivate a sleeping giant! Our churches are among the most important and powerful arenas in the quest to defend the authentic rights of the unborn, women and families, and to end abortion with compassion.

This is perhaps the single most important step you can take to bring this issue out of the shadows and into the light!
