| "One week after the abortion, my sister took her life. ...
Her three children are growing up without their mom
because nobody wanted to ask questions."

Julie's sister had been sexually assaulted for a number of years before she had her first abortion at age 16. No one at the clinic questioned why she was pregnant or why she was having an abortion. Instead, she was given an abortion and returned to the abusive situation. Following years of trauma and a second abortion, she took her own life ...
This story is one of many illustrating the price paid when women who lack support or are being pressured, pushed or forced into abortion meet up with the deceptive, coercive and negligent counseling practices commonly found at abortion businesses. It's about what happens when women who need authentic support, information and compassionate, timely help are pushed to abort instead of getting what they need.

All this is only compounded by the aftermath of abortion -- deep trauma, forbidden grief, self-destructive lifestyles, despair or even death (death rates, including suicide rates, are higher for women who have undergone abortions). This lonely aftermath is often even harder for women on Mother's Day, as they are surrounded by painful reminders of their loss, trauma and grief.

Our healing ads stand in the gap. They feature stories from women like Julie and others to let women and their families know that they aren't alone. Our ads offer hope and educate the public that most abortions are unwanted and a danger to both mothers and unborn children ... a poor substitute for true compassion.

Keep reading to see how you can use our Mother's Day ads and other materials to prevent, encourage and heal, while also educating leaders and others.

 Julie shares her sister's story:

"{When my sister went for her first abortion] had she been questioned by anyone as to how a minor like herself had come to be pregnant in the first place, perhaps she could have been saved from further abuse. ...

"This is indeed what should have happened in any agency that claims to be concerned about preventing child abuse. As it turned out, she was given the abortion without my parents' knowledge or consent and then returned to the same environment.

"Years later, after having given birth to three children, having had many years of psychotherapy and antidepressant drugs, she became pregnant in a crisis situation. She was advised by friends and self-appointed do-gooders to abort the baby to take care of herself. This caused her a great deal of distress and anxiety. ...

"She was crying when she entered the clinic, she cried throughout the abortion and she was sobbing as she left. But no one at the clinic asked her any questions ...

"One week after the abortion she took her life with a gunshot to the chest, striking her heart. Her three children are growing up without their mom because no one wanted to ask questions."

| Mother's Day Ads: A Message of Compassion and Hope That Also Educates the Public
 |
|
Julie and others who have lost a loved one to abortion or it's aftermath--along with countless mothers who grieve many losses; above all, the loss of their child--are often forgotten.
At the same time, others are being coerced into unwanted abortions while authorities in many sectors of society fail to offer needed support, information and resources, or at least doing proper screening to make sure that women and girls aren't having abortions as a result of sexual assault, abuse, coercion or even force.

This Mother's Day, you can acknowledge and remember those who have lost a mother, child, sister, daughter or friend to abortion or its aftermath. You can extend a hand, a heart and healing message on Mother's Day with our healing ads, each featuring a rose ... broken, yet restored, to represent hope and the journey to healing.
By sharing our ads and other materials, you'll also educate the public and deter those who would fail to support a mother facing a challenging pregnancy or use pressure or coercion to get her to abort ... plus raise awareness among those who are "on the fence" about the abortion issue because they don't know about the injustices it causes and the risks it poses to unborn children their mothers.

You'll find healing ads for Mother's Day or any time of year, along with message cards, bookmarks and other materials, on our healing ads page. You can download, print, copy and share these in your local community in a variety of ways. Or you can have them printed professionally or publish them in a local newspaper or other publication.

You may even want to run the rose billboard shown here during the entire month of May. We have lots of formats and ideas to help you use these materials in your own community. (And keep reading for some additional suggestions for ways to use our small space healing ads).
Education is key. By documenting and exposing the risks and abuses women and girls face before, during and after abortion, we can save lives, change hearts, show compassion for those already hurt and open the door to healing.

Remember, you can use these materials free of charge, but we need your support for this important work to continue. And please see our terms of use page before publishing any materials.

| Small Ads, Message Cards and Bookmarks

A full-scale education campaign turns tides. But small ads make a big difference too. We have many materials -- all based on game-changing research -- that you can use to help save lives but require only a minimum of time or money.
It's worth the effort. We know these materials have saved lives and helped heal hearts. Make no mistake: You can save the life of a student in your local school, a mother who attends your church, or even the daughter of a neighbor. At the same time, you'll change stereotypes about "choice" that are empowering the lucrative abortion industry and hurting women and children.

Below are three ideas for ways you can use our free small space ads and other materials:

 1) Print our small space ads in your bulletin or newsletter or in the classified ads section of your local newspaper; or run as a small ad or classified in a civic, trade or special-interest publication.

 2) Use our quarter-page black-and-white ads in a newsletter or newspaper. This is more affordable than the full-size full-color ads. (Click on the quarter page link under each ad to download it).

  3) All of our full-size and quarter page ads are also available as co-op ads with a boxed area where you can add the name of a local group, resource, event or sponsor. You can use black-and-white versions as flyers to distribute or post. Or contact local churches, civic groups or businesses and ask them to help you publish the ad by becoming a sponsor. (Click on the co-op link under each ad to download it).
You can use all these materials free of charge (your only cost will be any publishing or printing costs charged locally).  Please see our terms of use page before publishing these ads or materials.
