Meet Mary, Julie and Sandra ... and Introduce Your Favorite Leaders to Them, Too
The stories featured in this ad about unwanted abortions illustrate abortion's injustice and danger to both the unborn and women from all walks of life.
The ad is part of The UnChoice series to educate the public about abortion's injustice and risk to both. (See 3 Ways You Can Use These Ads below.)
From the homeless woman seeking shelter to the wife with an abusive spouse ... from the teen coerced by school authorities to the mother receiving high-pressure sales tactics from "counselors" in the helping professions ... or women fired, beaten, tortured or even killed for resisting abortion ... these ads tell their story and point to an urgent need to stop the injustice and heal the pain.
These ads show that for most women, abortion isn't about "choice" in the true understanding of the term. They illustrate how that pressure to abort can escalate when abortion is expected or even demanded, or when gatekeepers and profit-driven abortion businesses fail to give them needed information and help or even screen for coercion.
Mary was terrified by her husband who flew into a rage upon learning she was pregnant, ordering her to "get rid of it ... NOW!" while destroying their apartment.
Julie's parents took her phone and locked her in for two weeks before driving her, against her will, to an abortion clinic.
Sandra's husband threatened to leave her and take their kids if she refused to abort.
Similar cases -- many detailed in our newly updated Forced Abortion in America Report -- run the gamut from employment discrimination to other types of coercion, force, violence or even homicide ... the #1 killer of pregnant women.
Unfortunately, these stories are just the tip of the iceberg. But we can change that. Please keep reading to see how you can use our research-based ads and educational materials to save babies, mothers and families, educate and motivate the public, and challenge leaders.
You will help turn the tide ... sooner rather than later!

Newly Updated: Forced Abortion in America Report
-- New Forced Abortion Fact Sheet,Too!
For more information on this issue, and to educate others, download our newly updated Forced Abortion in America Report.
The report draws attention to attacks on pregnant women and girls -- some of them deadly -- in order to prevent them from continuing their pregnancies. It also highlights research showing that most abortions are unwanted or coerced.
We recently released an updated version that includes new facts and new reports of cases that range from housing, employment or other pregnancy discrimination toward women who resist abortion to coercion that can escalate to violence or even homicide.
The includes citations for published research, plus references to all the sources for the cases listed in this report -- more than 100 -- now listed online. This will make it easier for those who want to find out more about individual cases.
Important New Section: Teens at Risk
Many "fence-sitters" may not realize it, but this issue is personal to them. Many people have tuned out the abortion issue, thinking it's about two "sides," or "choice" or "politics."
This report challenges leaders, parents and others to think again.
It hits closer to home than they might think and the risks - of unwanted abortions or deadly aftereffects are real and near to their own circles. Their own daughters and sons, friends and neighbors may be at risk of pre-abortion coercion or post-abortion aftereffects.
Our updated report includes a new section on teens at risk of coerced abortions and left alone to cope with the aftermath, including a significant risk of life-threatening complications, trauma or even suicide.
- Reach those who don't realize their own daughters, friends, neighbors and other loved ones are risk of unwanted abortions and serious, even deadly aftereffects.
- Reach leaders - in legislative, religious and civic arenas - who need to know citizens, parishioners and others close to home are at risk.
- Reach those who have only heard misleading soundbites, stereotypes and spin about "choice" who would have a change of heart if they knew the reality was quite different.
Please use the Elliot Institute's fact-based and expert-guided resources, books and other materials year-round, incorporating a convincing, convicting and holistic body of evidence published in major medical journals and news reports.
