A secret.
Americans still don't know that most abortions are unwanted or coerced, and inflicting these and other injustices and harm on youth and women at risk.

A shirt.
This is one time we hope you can't keep a secret! Share this research-based news about unwanted, coerced abortion and other injustices/risks. Our new T-shirt and other apparel will help educate others and let those already hurt know they're not alone.

A story.
Genevieve's story is an important reminder of why it matters and why it's urgent that we educate citizens and leaders about the risks, injustices, heartbreak and harm to both the unborn and women.

A secret.

Crowded out in the rhetoric about "choice" and abortion is a shocking reality that most Americans haven't heard. New studies indicate that most abortions are unwanted or coerced. Forced abortion, plus other pregnancy-related abuse in America and elsewhere, is also a reality for many women from all walks of life. The Elliot Institute and others have documented this convention-defying news, plus the other risks, trauma and post-abortion complications that are both heartbreaking and deadly for women, men and families.

Our hearts go out to those who have been personally affected -- including the families who lost not only an unborn child, but also a daughter, sister, wife or friend to pregnancy-related violence, botched abortion or suicide.

We want to tell the world about this new evidence of abortion's injustice and risk to the unborn, teens and women from all walks of life. Citizens and leaders alike would be surprised to know that the abortion experiment was not about "choice" in the common understanding of the word, and that it is followed by further abuses, injustices and dangerous, even deadly complications.

It's an urgent issue, but the good news is we now have documented evidence to warn the public and stop those who are -- right now -- condoning or coercing someone to undergo an abortion, and warn parents whose teenager daughters are at risk of coercion. This is pivotal evidence!

At the same time, we can educate the public not only about the risks of coerced abortion, but the risks of abortion itself -- including physical and emotional complications and higher death rates among women who have had abortions.

We can expose the myth of "choice" that leads many to remain ambivalent about stopping abortion. This new evidence can stop the injustice; communicate our compassion; and open the door to healing.

We at the Elliot Institute have documented this information and developed many user-friendly resources, ads and educational materials to achieve these goals in short order. Please support this campaign in any way you can and encourage your friends and community leaders to visit our web site, sign up for this e-newsletter and network with us through Facebook and Twitter.

Plus, keep reading to find out about a brand-new resource to help you spread this message! A message this big deserves to be heard, even though in the major media it remains a well-kept secret.

A shirt.

This is one time we hope you can't keep a secret! Share this important new message about unwanted, coerced abortion and other injustices and risks by wearing one of our T-shirts or sweatshirts.

Our shirts also direct people to TheUnChoice.com for more information about this issue, and to let those hurting from abortion know they aren't alone.

Parents, too, deserve to know their own daughters are at risk of coercion and dangerous aftereffects. As one woman who underwent an abortion as a teen noted, "Teens are facing adult-sized pain with a child's coping skills."

Our T-shirts and sweatshirts are available in many styles -- both long- and short-sleeved, for men and women. We also have buttons, stickers, magnets, bumper stickers, bags, postcards, mugs and more.

Plan to wear and share TheUnChoice message and you'll help save lives, hearts and souls; foster true compassion; and open the door to healing and a more authentically pro-woman, pro-life and pro-family culture.

This message is great for the March for Life and other pro-life events being held this January. You can also get resources now for:

A story.

 "The counselor glared at me:
'They're all waiting for you, you know. ...
Look, I'll give you five minutes to think about it.' "

Genevieve had canceled two appointments at the abortion clinic in Canberra. Before the next appointment, she spent four hours walking around the clinic, her mind battered by conflicting thoughts, incapable of making a decision. In a submission she forwarded to me, written for the Government-commissioned report "Services for Termination of Pregnancy," she described trying to express her deep inner conflict:

I collapsed in sheer exhaustion. I told her that I had been outside for hours. I cried hysterically curled over with my head in my hands on my knees. I said that "I feel like I'm depriving my child of life."

Our conversation was cut short by the doctor. The pressure was on. I stopped crying in disbelief when the counselor told me that if I was going to abort then I would have to do it right now. The counselor said, "Look, I'll give you five minutes to think about it and when I come back, I want your answer."

I couldn't believe it. Now I was going into a state of panic and shock. I could now barely speak ... The counselor glared at me, sighed a deep sigh and impatiently said, "Look, they're all waiting for you, you know" ... They seemed angry at me. They were sick of me and in the end I weakly obeyed their commands.

Genevieve's story is an important reminder of why it matters and why it's urgent that we educate citizens and leaders about the risks, injustices, heartbreak and harm to both the unborn and women.
