What you can achieve with new evidence at a fair booth:
State and county fairs are wonderful opportunities to meet new people to reach out, educate or inspire new leaders and advocates! Please consider volunteering at your group's booth or start one if it's not there already.
You'll reach ...
- Those who need help with a challenging pregnancy or those who need information about anything from fetal development to available help and resources. (help - resource list)
- Those being coerced or even forced to abort against their will. (help - resource list)
- The general public who need to hear the news about unwanted abortions plus post-abortion injury, harm and heartbreak.
- Others who will be deterred from having, pushing or forcing abortion simply by seeing the long list of serious aftereffects, including maternal injury, trauma and death.
- Those who need compassion or healing from an abortion in weeks, years or even decades past (for some - especially teens at risk of coercion or aftereffects, you may even prevent a suicide.)
- New leaders and advocates in various sectors of society, including legislative, pastoral, medical, education, social service and political sectors, as well as in homes and communities.
Facts, fun and fulfillment
A fair booth can be a fun and fulfilling outreach. You can share educational materials, truth and hope. You can include prizes such as books or T-shirts, mugs or "blessing" ornaments, or you can wear pro-woman/pro-life buttons, hats and apparel to draw attention and start a conversation. Every year, participants talk about lives changed and saved ... babies, teens, moms, dads and families, plus new youth, leaders, advocates and communities inspired. There are always others who don't report back, but the lives changed are significant.
