 Many are already participating in the 40 Days for Life campaign, Life Chain or similar projects of prayer, fasting, vigils and community outreach regarding abortion. This type of prayerful and practical outreach matters for babies, women and families, for a multitude of reasons.
Whether or not you are already participating in the "40 Days" or other outreach campaigns, you may appreciate some reminders of why it matters.
During this time, as a reminder of abortion's multifaceted assault on the rights, safety and lives of both the unborn and women, and its impact on many others in families and society, we will be reprinting excerpts from:

- Forced Abortion in America (downloadable versions include the flyer, fact sheet and 22-page report with citations)
The "Forced Abortion in America" excerpts are disturbing, yet important to read. They expose profound exploitation and human rights abuses associated with abortion, especially for women and families in vulnerable situations. (Download a list of places to find help before or after abortion.)
For individuals and groups planning ahead for next year, reading excerpts of this report followed by prayers makes a good Lenten offering, prayer group project, personal devotion, etc.
