Both the Sun and the Moon are currently in Taurus, and it’s a beautiful, grounded energy to be in. This energy is not about rushing around, this is about stillness, grounding and putting down roots (although there's some action to be taken over the next few days).
The cards tell us a similar story: the first guidance they give us is Self-heal, a plant that is a panacea of many ailments.
It tells us to “Ripple outward”: every big change in the world starts with a small shift, a small step that someone takes, whether within or in the world.
This card is about taking some time for yourself, sit in silence and center yourself: from that place of peace and stillness you can make that small shift that will ripple outwards and do great good.
The second card that wanted to speak to us is Daisy: “Be Yourself”. I love this card as it tells us again to come to ourselves and ask ourselves: “If no one was watching me, who would I be? How would I wear my hair? What words would I speak?”.
And I’m asking you my potent friend, who would you be if you weren’t afraid of other people’s judgement and rejection?
You can even go a step deeper and ask yourself: “Who would I be if I was kinder to myself?”
Last but not least, I pulled Nettle: “Pay Attention!” it says. Pay attention to the details, to the uniqueness of people around you, because when you value everyone’s uniqueness, you are able to value your own and really step into your authenticity.
This New Moon reading gave us three steps that are a whole process: go within with Self-heal, let your core speak to you and guide you towards that small shift that will cause amazing ripples in your life and in the world. Take a deep breath and step up your self-acceptance with Daisy, standing tall in your truth of being 100% lovable in all of who you are. And last but not least, start looking outside of yourself with Nettle: see how everyone is absolutely unique and beautiful, truly see the world around you with the new eyes of someone who loves and accept themselves.
Human Design-wise, today and the next 4 days, the Sun is transiting in Gate 2 which is all about receptivity.
It is the root of action but it is not action, it is the root of direction that lies in our Highest Guidance.
Gate 2 points to the Sacral Center, that’s the center of doing something that satisfies us: this is empowerment and direction in the doing (I’m talking to you, heart-driven business owners!). Without the guidance of Gate 2, there would be no empowered action.
This gate is about your unique direction, it is Higher Knowing… it is the guiding power.
It resonates a lot with the Taurus energy we’re in: a grounded energy that tells us to look at what we really want, where our true self wants to take us… no rush.
Roots take a while to anchor into the ground, but the potent wisdom is already in them. They know the direction they need to go, and so do you (thanks to the help of the 2nd gate energy as well).
Yesterday I went live in the group about a topic that I feel is perfect for this energy: I talked about why we tend to focus on how things could go wrong and we don’t have much energy left to focus on what we do well. The latter is exactly what the energy is asking us to focus on right on.
I’ll leave you with some excerpts from some of my favorite astrologers about this New Moon (absolutely beautiful, read them!)
"At its core, this New Moon is really about deciding what we value. Having values and staying close to them is so important not just within the way you run your business, but also how you live your life in general. When we know what our true values are, we can prioritize our time and energy to work towards the things we care about most without getting distracted by the things that may detract from that."
Natalie Walstein from Soulshine Astrology
“The New Moon in Taurus will be a time to re-establish our roots and stand for nothing less then what we truly deserve and desire. Ruled by the planet Venus, Taurus, deals with the tangible: what can be touched, tasted and seen. […] The Taurus New Moon is here to ground your stance and anchor your soul in: self-love and self- respect. Remembering who we are, even when others forget, is key to this New Moon's magic.”
