Subject: BlockBase+ Beta: Second Update Available (Windows 1.0.1.3 and Mac 3.0.1.3)

Dear Friend,


Thank you for helping us test the automatic updater this past week. We found one issue where a “failed to check for updates” message would appear for some users with internet connectivity issues if they used the Check for Updates option. This error message was too sensitive to mild internet connection issues so we have adjusted a few things to correct that. See the changelog here >>


This second update (Windows 1.0.1.3 and Mac 3.0.1.3) contains that fix. If you were having the “failed to check for updates” error you may have it again while trying to install this update. If you do get the error message, please try the following steps:

  1. Turn your computer off and then back on and then try checking for updates again in BlockBase+.

  2. Try checking for updates at a different time of the day.

  3. If the above fails, please download this update and install it manually by going to your account at electricquilt.com and downloading the latest version from the BlockBase+ Beta button. Log in here >>

We will be releasing one more Update this week to test that the fixes included in this update are working correctly.


As a reminder, depending on when you were last using BlockBase+ you may or may not receive an automatic prompt when you open the program, as it only checks for an update every few days.


If you do get an automatic pop-up that indicates that an update is available when you open the program, please follow the prompts to install version 1.0.1.3 for Windows and 3.0.1.3 for Mac. You can check that you have the new version number after updating by going to File > About BlockBase+ (Windows) or BlockBase Plus > About BlockBase+ (Mac).


If you do not get an automatic pop-up, you can still update by going to File > Check for Updates (Windows) or BlockBase Plus > Check for Updates (Mac). This will bring up the update window. Please follow the prompts to install the update.


Please submit a bug report if you have any problems or if something is not working as expected. You need to have the initial Beta version (1.0.1.1 for Windows and 3.0.1.1 for Mac) installed to have the automatic updates and check for updates options work.
