Here's the story of when I thought I was smarter than Google.

I’d just learned about something called Adsence.

In short, Google AdSense was a program where Google paid you to have their ads on your website.

You’d earn a small commission every time someone clicked an ad Google displayed on your site.

I put them on one of my first-ever websites.

Not thinking much, I was shocked when a few days later I had made money.

I had made a whopping…

I was like “OOOOOH SHEEET”.

You’re boy boutta be rich.

I spent the next few hours refreshing my site and clicking the ads like a madman.

I sent family members my website link and told them to click like crazy as many times as possible.

I told people at my college to click on the ads on my site.

I was buzzing because I was convinced I had stumbled onto a goldmine.

But boy was I wrong.

Instead of making millions.

Googled banned me for life from the Adsense program.

(It turns out the folks over at Google know what they’re doing and I was committing click fraud.)
