Subject: How I made my first 50 quid online

50 Quid is £50 if you're not a UK resident you may not know.

Anyway, I made it with semi-digital marketing.

I’ll explain exactly how I did it in this email and what I’d do differently today.

Feel free to steal the blueprint.

As a broke teen, I wanted to make some extra cash.

I Googled…

How to make money online

Little did I know this would send me down a rabbit hole that would shape my future.

As you can guess loads of opportunities popped up but one obscure page with a very long sales letter stood out to me.

It told a story of how I could sell information.

I had no idea what that meant but it fascinated me.

It said I could make sales while I slept.

But to get the real “secrets” I’d have to pay £50 via PayPal for instant access.

I was a broke student so £50 was a lot of money.

I read that letter like 10 times trying to decide whether I should bite the bullet or not.

The letter was so convincing I took the risk and bought it.

I was instantly forwarded to a page where I could download a document.

I got it and devoured it instantly.

In short, all you need to do is package information you already know, put up a website with a PayPal button on and charge people to access the information.

Basically, the exact process I just went through.

That was all the proof I needed.

It had just worked on me.

But the problem was I didn’t think I knew anything people were willing to pay for.

I was a student after all.

So I decided to do something a little unethical.

Don’t hold it against me I was a teen.

I took the document I just bought, reworded it and tried to sell it as my own.

Long story short I created a website with some free web design tools.

Generated a PayPal button that would automatically forward a customer to another page with my bootlegged information on.

I had no idea how to do any of this when I started.

But thank God for Google.

I Googled everything and figured it out. I spent hours in the library.

I then started to tell everyone and anyone about this amazing website I “came across”.

It was my site.

And by chance. One person bought my product and I made £50.

I had broken even.

A little unethical I know but I had made digital money and was amazed.

So what would I do differently today?..

  1. I wouldn’t do anything shady and rip off someone's product

  2. I’d identify a problem a specific group of people are having.

  3. Find a great solution to that problem.

  4. Promote that solution through content marketing for a referral fee.

  5. Scale my business through audience growth and product diversification.
