Subject: Failure should be celebrated

{{ANNOTATION "subscription_reminder" "html"}}

Most people are too scared to fail.

But that's the problem.

I know I've made that mistake in the past.

You should celebrate when you fail.

I'll tell you why.

While I was in the gym this morning listening to 50 Cent's book.

(Yes 50 Cent the rapper and movie mogul)

His book "Hustle Harder Hustle Smarter" is great by the way.

He told a story about the founder of Honda, (the car company) Soichiro Honda.

And specifically his mindset on failure.

Soichiro would get excited when he failed.

He knew he was a step closer to achieving his goal. The more he failed the closer he got.

He famously said...

“Success is 99% failure”

That is a stark difference to how most people deal with failure.

They get down, depressed and frustrated. Some even quit.

I've been there.

A few years ago I launched a product that only profited about $1,500.

I was upset and deflated.

I worked so hard and expected at least 20 times that.

When I spoke to a millionaire friend about what had happened his response shocked me.

He said...

"So you're upset you made money?"

He was highlighting the fact that I was moaning about a profitable launch.

Even if I had made a loss it would have been a success. Because of the lessons learnt, I would know how to improve on the next one.

So there are never really any failures.

Only stepping stones to success.

You just successfully took another step towards your goal.

Remember...

Don't settle for mediocrity. Think differently!
