Scheherazade: Storyteller—Mixed Media Works By Camille Eskell

Located in the Westport Library's South Gallery, "Scheherazade: Storyteller—Mixed Media Works By Camille Eskell" explores self-perception, societal attitudes, and psychological states related to gender bias. Her designs combine digital photo-based collage, with textiles such as saris, hand-made paper, cast sculpture, trims, jewels, and embellishments; her methods include disassembling/re-working existing garments, hand-sewing, and beading, and more.

Finely Tuned: Paintings By Marlene Siff

Sheffer Gallery

Paintings by Marlene Siff"— Fanfare, Crescendo, Legato, Elegy, and Fugue — is named for, and linked to, a specific expression found in music. Visitors to the gallery can scan a QR code next to each piece and listen to the musical selections that the artist used as inspiration. Also on view are several maquettes that Siff made as studies prior to the construction of these awe inspiring works.

Life: Six Women Photographers Exhibition


Through July 7

Greenwich Historical Society

Featuring six prominent women photographers whose iconic work for LIFE magazine helped create modern photojournalism as it depicted a quickly-evolving world. The exhibition features more than 70 images by the only women employed as full-time photographers by LIFE between the late 1930s and the early 1970s. LIFE: Six Women Photographers has been organized by the New-York Historical Society.

Michael Dweck: Blunderbust

Heather Gaudio Fine Art

Dweck is a multi-disciplinary artist primarily known for working in photography, most notably for his series documenting niche socio-cultural identities such as Mermaids, Habana Libre, and The End: Montauk. Over the years his artistic practice expanded to sculpture and filmmaking, and more recently he has delved into painting. The gallery will be presenting Blunderbust, Dweck’s first paintings from the multi-media corpus that also includes photography, sculpture.
