ART EXHIBITS & ARTIST TALKS
"Home Sweet Home"
THURS JAN 11, 6PM
Flinn Gallery, Greenwich Library
Delve into the tangible and intangible aspects of the concepts of home. This exhibition is a rich exploration of memories & experiences, featuring the works of four talented women artists. Through a range of mediums, they skillfully weave narratives of home, family, and community. On view through Feb 28th.
Come and enjoy an Artist-in-Residence Talk with Taryn McMahon who will share her current project, “Impressions (Dunkard Creek),” a series of new monotypes investigating the ecological destruction of a West Virginia watershed.
Held in collaboration with master print maker and publisher Gemini G.E.L. in New York City, this exhibition highlights new techniques in printmaking with a varied output of richly textured graphic works. Printmaking has been an extension of Serra’s artistic explorations of surface, line, balance, mass, and volume as evoked in his monumentally-scaled sculptures. On view through Feb 17th.
Head to an opening reception in celebration of the 50 year anniversary of RGOA. It's a members-only show where the art spans from 1974 to yesterday. See works from 50 years ago alongside the most current works by RGOA members.
