Not By The Book Thurs. Sept. 23, 6-8pm Flinn Gallery The Greenwich Library
Catch the opening reception and re-opening celebration of the Flinn after both the pandemic and extensive renovations to the library. This first exhibit of the season features four artists who use the physical structure of books to express their creative ideas. Shiela Hale builds with books, taking her inspiration from nature; Chris Perry regards books as sculptural objects, working with the theme of water; Andrew Sovjani expands the boundaries of books’ physical nature, using photography and engineering; and Erin Walrath transforms recycled books into visually expansive new contexts.
