This exhibit showcases the Museum’s antique and vintage doll and toy furniture collections. Enchanting vignettes such as “A Garden Tea Party” and “Baking Cookies” portray the history of dolls and doll making in the 19th and early 20th centuries. On view through January 8th.

Join an opening reception of an exhibit curated by Khanlar Gasimov that reimagines the relationship between artistic mediums and the dynamism of global contemporary art movements, through a collaboration with artists from Bridgeport’s American Fabrics Arts Building. Artists include Cultural Alliance members Jocelyn Braxton Armstrong, Janine Brown, Linda Colletta, and Brec Morgan.
Join a family-friendly, art-making workshop, inspired by nature, outdoors in the Museum’s Sculpture Garden. Together with Aldrich Educators, learn about the artist Alice Aycock, whose work can be seen in the 52 Artists: A Feminist Milestone exhibition. Then, create your own land-art piece with clay and natural materials, inspired by Aycock’s exploration of the earth’s surface.
