The New Paradigm Theatre Company presents the Broadway hit musical, “Footloose” in the state-of-the-art theatre at Fairfield’s Black Rock Church. This heartfelt story - about an outsider moving to a conservative small town - celebrates the wisdom of listening to young people while guiding them with a warm heart and open mind. With this production, New Paradigm is partnering with Kids Helping Kids, a nonprofit with a mission to develop leadership skills among students through youth-led service projects. The production will feature West End London star, Craig Pinder, (original London cast of Les Miserables as Jean Valjean) as Reverend Shaw Moore and newcomer, Ramone Nelson, in the featured role of Ren McCormack. More...

Join artist Clarity Haynes as she speaks about her ongoing Altar series— tromp l’oeil paintings of homemade queer feminist shrines she composes in her studio —with Hyperallergic co-founder, art writer, critic, and curator Hrag Vartanian and Senior Curator Amy Smith-Stewart. Featured in this conversation are two new paintings included in Haynes’ current exhibition at The Aldrich, Collective Transmission. The Klein presents a film screening of Summer of Soul, a newly released documentary film, containing never-before-seen footage from the legendary 1969 Harlem Cultural Festival. Performances by Nina Simone, Sly and the Family Stone, Mahalia Jackson, Gladys Knight & The Pips, a 19-year-old Stevie Wonder, and more. The film is directed by Questlove and it won the Sundance Film Festival the Grand Jury Prize and Audience Award in 2021.
