A curated virtual exhibition, Together was funded by the CT Office of the Arts. Nadia comments: "During these past months, we have experienced the power of coming together and staying together while staying apart. The artwork selected for this exhibition express in different ways unity, connection, integration, and togetherness." Artists include Cultural Alliance members Eric Chiang, Rosa Colón, Eugenie Diserio, Joanie Landau, Susan McHale, Amy Oestreicher, Justin Perlman, and Ruth Kalla Ungerer. Nadia was a recipient of an Artists Respond grant from the Office of the Arts, that provided funding to artists for the creation and presentation of free and accessible on-line arts-based experiences. The CT Film Festival and Housatonic Art Museum co-present the first in a series of art-related films shown for free online, The Cardboard Bellini. Filmmaker Olympia Stone follows artist James Grashow as he builds a giant cardboard fountain, inspired by the baroque sculptor Gian Lorenzo Bernini. From its conception, he intended the work to be put outside to disintegrate. This film documents the process from start to finish - from premiering indoors in 2010 at the Taubman Museum of Art, Richmond VA, to, after shows in New York and Pittsburgh, being installed outdoors at our own Aldrich Museum in 2012, where it lasted six weeks.
