CT HUMANITIES DATA STORIES

CT Humanities (CTH), using data collected from the 624 recipients of grants from the CT Cultural Fund that CTH administered, has produced "data stories" that give a snapshot of the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the arts and humanities in our state. PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT

 ARTS ADMINISTRATION FELLOWSHIP

The Elizabeth L. Mahaffey Arts Administration Fellowship provides funding to individuals to pursue professional development opportunities in field of arts administration. Arts administration is the field that concerns the business operations of an arts organization, including but not limited to staff management, public relations, marketing, budget/fiscal management, board development, fund-raising, program development and evaluation.

Fellowships are non-matching awards up to $2,500.

The Fellowship’s focus is on individuals who are traditionally underrepresented in arts administration roles and/or live in a Distressed Municipality or a CT Rural Town. Special consideration will be given to professional development requests that support and/or align with COA’s READI goals. Review criteria are available HERE.

PART TIME DEVELOPMENT OFFICER


The Cultural Alliance of Fairfield County seeks a part-time Development Officer to research and obtain short- and long-term financial support. The Development Officer will work closely with the Executive Director to help advance the Cultural Alliance during this unique period in its growth. With recent new funding, we are able to increase our staff, and recognize this critical moment to sustain and diversify that funding. Our pro-active focus on equity as a guiding principle requires a dedicated fundraiser who can enthusiastically support this drive by attending to, and tracking, our current and historic donors while tapping into new sources of local and national philanthropy.

Pequot Library is searching for a dynamic and enthusiastic nonprofit arts and culture professional to provide leadership, coordination, and evaluation of a variety of interpretive public programs for all ages, especially adults, which are inspired by the circulating collection, rotating schedule of Special Collections and visual art exhibitions, Children’s Library initiatives, and innovative multi-disciplinary learning opportunities. The position will ensure that all programs are designed for a broad and diverse audience and support the Library’s commitment to Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility (DEIA.)
