The Academic Word List and AWL highlighter - now with definitions!

The full list of words in the Academic Word List is not new, but has been modified so that words (and related forms) can be clicked to show definition, word form, pronunciation and more, using the dictionary database built in to the website, allowing for more in-depth study of AWL words.

The AWL highlighter, also not new, has been modified in the same way, so that AWL words found in a text can likewise be clicked to show definition, word form, etc.

Below is an example definition, for the word academic.

New infographics

Several new infographics have been added to the website. There is one for the writing process, another for using symbols & abbreviations, and another for the Academic Word List.

Home page tweak

The home page has been tweaked to show the most popular pages on the site, which include essay types (at #1), the AWL highlighter (#2) and the Academic Word List (#3).
