A note from the Duluth Public Arts Commission:
What a wonderful fall we have had in Duluth with festivals, art walks and other community events. Before life gets crazy with the holidays, consider spending a beautiful fall morning expanding your circle of influence a wee bit farther south…
We are partnering with drawchange on October 27th for the 5th Annual drawchange 5k: Run for Art, Run for Kids! A Note from drawchange about Run for Art, Run for Kids: Run for Art, Run for Kids - our largest fundraiser of the year - is a family-friendly, Creatively-Charged 5K Run/Walk held in Piedmont Park. This year is the FIFTH Annual, we're pulling out all the stops! Runners are entertained as they navigate the course by fine artists, musicians, dancers, circus acts, and more! Everyone is encouraged to dress up in costumes and brightly colored gear - we even have a costume contest! The race awards are handcrafted with love by the children from our programs. All in all, the drawchange 5K is a bright, encouraging, and fun event that captures the essence of drawchange and all that we do to empower children through creativity and art! 100% of the proceeds go directly back into our programs to benefit and empower homeless youth! Help us #endhomelessness - visit www.drawchange.org/5k to register, donate, or volunteer today! About drawchange: Drawchange, is a local Atlanta 501c3 nonprofit organization. It is drawchange's goal to empower Atlanta’s homeless children to envision their dreams and break the cycle of poverty through the use of art therapy-based programming. Learn more about drawchange and their local/global reach by visiting: www.drawchange.org. |

| drawchange is still looking for artists who would like to volunteer their time and contribute to the atmosphere… If interested please contact us via email and we’ll put you in touch with the organizers. They still need runners, volunteers, and spectators!

| There are several new DPAC projects in the works – stay tuned for some exciting news in November that we will ALL be THANKFUL for!
The Public Art Commission meets 6:30pm on the second Wednesday of every month at Duluth City Hall; all meetings are open to the public. Join us to hear about our recent successes and generate new ideas for future projects. We appreciate our volunteers, and hope that keeping people more informed leads to opportunities for engagement, whether by submitting ideas to DPAC, working hands-on via a project sub-committee, or just connecting with other “artful” folks in the community.
