"THE LAST DAYS OF CAPITALISM" WORLD PREMIERING AT CINEQUEST!
Hey Everyone,
I'm super excited to announce that my new film, The Last Days of Capitalism, is world premiering at the prestigious Cinequest Film Festival in San Jose, CA March 7th, and screening 4 times during the festival.
This new film was written and directed by Adam Mervis, an up-and-coming screenwriter who wrote the screenplay for the Chadwick Boseman cop thriller 21 Bridges, which opened nationwide back in November. Last Days is a very different film--it's a two-character drama set in a single location--a Las Vegas Penthouse.
It's about a wealthy man who has been holed up in his Vegas hotel room for nearly a month, clearly suffering from some unnamed trauma. His night with a mysterious young woman turns into several nights, as he discovers that she is more than a match for him intellectually. She, too, is intrigued and while she initially stays because he is paying her, the two begin a complex relationship that could turn into something more than just lustful desire. But both of them have secrets...Last Days is a love story, a mystery, and a thriller all rolled into one.
The San Jose Mercury News named Last Days one of their 15 "Not To Miss" films, calling it:
“Sleek, sexy and surprising."
Last Days screens four times:
