Who's Really In Charge?

As the craziness continues in the world, it may be easy to feel overwhelmed and out of control of your life, and you­r health.


However, this can be quite simple to overcome by remembering one simple strategy... 


YOU are in charge — and, no one else, but you! 


This means, it doesn't matter what the government does; what some talking-head on the TV says; what your neighbors or co-workers think; what your family believes, what's trending on social media; or whatever else that may be holding you back from realizing.... 


YOU are in charge of your health!


So, don't give your power away! Don't succumb to the brainwashing, hypnosis, or delusion that somehow your health is not in your control. It is! And it should be. It's your body, your health, your life— so take control of it, by taking responsibility for it! 


As I mentioned in the last newsletter, and is worth repeating... the current worldly events can either be an excuse (and a distraction) to not 'rise up' and take control of your health. Or, they can be a great reason (and launchpad) to take your health to the next level. 


The current events should not dictate 'whether' you stay healthy. 


Why?


Because, you can bet there will be MORE 'current events' coming down the road!



There is an important choice we all have to make each day:


Living from a place of love and of empowerment— by being prepared, and being proactive.


Or


Living from a place of fear and disempowerment— by not preparing, or taking charge.

The Mighty 'Mulberry'!



It's mulberry season! Yummmmmm!


Yes, there are many delicious and nutritious berries out there, and mulberries are definitely one of them! I am blessed to have some mulberry trees near me for a fresh harvest. This is a fruit definitely worth trying. 


You may be able to find them in stores, but they are not usually as commercially available as other berries that tend to keep longer when refrigerated (such as blueberries, raspberries, or strawberries). 


Mulberries are often a solid color, and can be: red, white, black, or blue. The structure and appearance of mulberries is very similar to that of blackberries. When ripe, they are sweet; and can be eaten fresh, or in a dried form. (Note: If you can't find fresh, dried mulberries are often sold in certain markets or health food stores.)


Mulberries can contain a powerhouse of nutrients, including: fiber; carbohydrates, protein, fats, minerals, vitamins, antioxidants, and polynutrients (such as: anthocyanin, flavonoids, lutein, zeaxanthin, and carotenes). They have also been used in Chinese herbal medicine for centuries to help treat various conditions. 


If buying them fresh from a store, make sure that they are plump and have a vibrant color. As with buying other fruits, avoid those that are bruised, bleeding, or look dented or sunken. Unless you are buying white mulberries, avoid mulberries that are pale in color, as this means they have not ripened yet. 


They are 'berry' good for sure!
