Hi Friend,
If you follow us on social media (which I hope you do!) you might have noticed that for the last little while, I've been posting a bunch of stuff there that's a bit out of the ordinary for us.
If you're out of the loop on this, let me explain ...
Before this band existed, from about 1998 to 2009, I had a fairly active career as a visual artist. I produced a pretty wide range of photographic work that I showed in a whole bunch of different galleries. I enjoyed this a great deal but it always was a 'second love' for me - and in 2009 I realized I had to focus if I ever wanted to get anywhere with my music. So the photography stopped and shortly after that, Double Eyelid began.
Anyways, I recently had a chance to re-discover a lot of the work I made during this time and it honestly surprised me how good it was. I started sharing it to our social media and the response was overwhelmingly good! So I decided to make a simple website to make some of it available to anyone who is interested.
I'm launching it officially later this week, but because I always share important stuff with our email list first, I'm sending you guys the link right now:
It's a very simple gallery site. Right now it has 5 works up, along with a bunch of information about my process, how and when the work was made, and more! The plan is to keep those up for 3 months and then change the 'show'. But we'll see how this goes, this is brand-new and unofficially launching with this email- so who knows what will happen?
Give it a look, send me your thoughts, and if you find something you'd like to hang in your home that's even better 😀
