Grapes, Paws & Hops Festival Join DGS at this dog friendly beer and wine festival and dog adoption event at Marymoor Park. Friendly dogs and kids welcome. Enjoy live music, an off-leash area for dogs and games for the kids. 10 breweries, 10 wineries and 2 cideries will be on site, plus food trucks, pet-specific vendors and more! | Sally Broke her leg and needs a $3,500 surgery Sally is a sweet 3-month-old pitbull puppy who was abandoned by her homeless family in Texas when they caught a bus out of town. Luckily Project Freedom Ride stepped in and secured her a one-way-ticket to our rescue here in Seattle. She has been in foster care here for almost a month, learning how to live in a house and be a happy pup. Sadly, on Monday she fell off a bed while playing with her foster brother and cried out in pain. We brought her to Greenwood Animal Hospital for x-rays, which confirmed the worst: Sally has a broken leg that can only be repaired with orthopedic surgery. She will be having her operation on Friday, June 7th at VSC Specialty Center in Lynnwood, by the wonderful Dr. Garneau. Unfortunately, this surgery is going to run about $3,500 and is a hardship for our rescue. Dog Gone Seattle would graciously appreciate any contributions toward surgery for sweet Sally.
