Divine Mercy Prayer Meeting & Holy Hour for Our Nations Starts Soon

Guest Speaker and Topic Today

Fr. Seraphim Michalenko, MIC

Why Did Jesus Choose the Sunday after Easter as the Feast of Mercy??

Father Seraphim Michalenko, MIC, spent almost his entire priesthood studying and promoting The Divine Mercy message and devotion. He was responsible for smuggling the Diary of St. Faustina out of Communist Poland in 1979 and worked on publishing of the Diary in Polish and then English. He was Vice-Postulator for St. Faustina's cause for beatification, intimately involved in her elevation to sainthood. He was among the very few who knew Pope John Paul II would proclaim Divine Mercy Sunday for the Univeral Church at her canonization.

Father Seraphim loved to teach, and as Marian apostolate directors, we enjoy a special privilege to be his students. Today, we share a portion of a talk he gave in Enfield, Connecticut, almost 20 years ago that clearly demonstrates how the Holy Spirit led him to little-known facts and questions he had concerning the revelations given to St. Faustina and more.

Father Seraphim passed away on February 11, 2021, due to Covid related illness. He was 90 years old. We miss him dearly, but thank our friend Jim Mattingly for filming many of his talks and teachings. Rest in peace, Fr. Seraphim. Pray for us!

Jesus to St. Faustina:

Make a daily hour of adoration for nine days. During this adoration try to unite yourself in prayer with My Mother. Pray with all your heart in union with Mary . . .

I was to make this novena for the intention of my Motherland.
