Lessons from the Diary of Saint Faustina
Starting today in our monthly newsletters we will be highlighting some of the teachings and spirituality gleaned from Divine Mercy in My Soul, the Diary of St. Maria Faustina Kowalska. Since August is the month of the Assumption it is the perfect time to leap into these lessons. Here is why. The first of the four pillars of the Divine Mercy for America Action Plan is Nurturing Personal Holiness based on the spirituality of St. Faustina. The first chapter in the school of St. Faustina is then Devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary. Our Lady visited Sister often spurring and prodding her along the road of holiness. The Mother of God used powerful words of enlightenment, encouragement, and sometimes even strong words, demanding Sister pray for her homeland, as She did on the Feast of the Assumption in 1934.
