St. Faustina, Secretary and Apostle of Divine Mercy, Pray for Us and with Us Today Fr. Amruth was ordained to the priesthood for the Diocese of Kurnool, India on February 20, 2014. He is stationed in Cambridge, England for missionary work. In 2017, Father first received the Diary of St. Faustina from the Carmelite nuns at his parish and began to read it. So moved by the message, Fr. Amruth worked on translating the book into Telugu for four years, his native dialect spoken by 100 million souls. While searching the internet for Divine Mercy groups in 2020, Father happened to run across the Divine Mercy for America online prayer meeting and holy hour. He has continued to regularly join to share his work and teachings and to pray with the group. The translated Diary was published and released in 2022 just prior to Easter. The bishops and every priest in three dioceses received a copy of the book with great gusto. A Divine Mercy for India initiative modeled after the Divine Mercy for America Action Plan is now underway. | |
